2 Months

Two months ago at this time I was in labor. I had no idea what lie ahead of me besides knowing I was going to be a mother. Since that time I have gone through the struggles every new mother goes through and have fallen in love with this little boy.

He is now sleeping for 4-6 hours straight at night. He doesn't sleep too well during the day, but we are working on that one. With this sleep we have discovered an adorable smile. It is fun looking at him and have his whole face light up. Yesturday when Troy came home Parker wouldn't take his eyes off of him. It was precious.

Day of the BS ME

On May 8th Troy officially became an alumni of the
University of Utah.

After many hard years of school he now has a Bachelor Of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Parker must be really proud of Troy because he was extremely happy or slept during both ceremonies.

Hats off to Troy. He has worked really hard, and missed many nights of sleep. We are excited for what this means for our future.

Now that he is graduated Troy will be taking up mechanical bull riding.

Actually Troy will be working full time as a mechanical engineer, and plans to return to school in a year to start a masters degree.

Troy's Senior Design

Troy has worked hard the last two years to develop a hybrid powered elevator.

The project was inspired by the New Orleans area. After Hurricane Katrina the building code requires all houses to be at least 4 feet off the ground. The cost for a traditional elevator is more than most people can afford. Troy was able to help come up with a design that can be built from products found at many hardware store and can be built at a fraction of the cost of a traditional evelator. He was able to show off his design at the U of U's Mechanical Engineered Design Day.

Sleeping Update

It seems Parker has finally learned how to sleep. For the last week he has slept for 2-3 hours at a time during the night, and is only up for 1 hour between each shift. He even slept for 4 hours straight one night. During the day he is sleeping for 1/2-1 hour at a time. He usually is up for about 1 hour between each shift. It has been so nice having a happy baby.
